130th Anniversary of Casa Tukma

Our emblematic main building, known as Casa Tukma, turns 130 years old.

Our history

Throughout these 130 years, some historical events have occurred within our house, such as the birth of one of the most important winery dynasties in Argentina: Michel Torino, after the marriage of Don David Michel with Doña Gabriela Torino López in the today hotel lobby.

Another significant event took place at the end of the 1920s, when the house began to serve as a space for the National School No. 48. Its director, María Luisa López, gave her life for equal opportunities and the inclusion of women in the classrooms.

More than a century later, the Tukma House forms the main building of the hotel, and an innumerable number of guests have passed through it, each with their own particularities, and who without knowing it are a fundamental piece of our history and, therefore , of this celebration.
